i'm an anglican and not a jehovahs witness.
what i dislike about lots of church congregations is their readiness to make unpleasant and unhelpful comments about other christian groups.
recently someone in a church tried to tell me a little about the views of jehovahs witnesses.
it might be slightly interesting to get your opinion of the watchtower version of the bible. its basicly the same as any other english translation--full of nightmare stories--the only real difference is you will keep finding the word " jehovah" inserted here there and everywhere. but--if that annoys you--just substitute the name " mickey mouse".
oh--by the way i havent had any form of bible in my house for 40 odd years. no need for any invisible friend in my life.
a christian priest even claimed that the bible passage where jesus asked "who.
touched me", because the power" had gone out of him", referred to genital stealing".. we thought the wt was bad.. males were accusing strangers of stealing their manhood by bumping against them.. folks were killed because of this... check out "nigerian genitalia vanishing epidemic of 1990. women were walking around holding their breast,.

i'm curious about the following:.
1) how long have you been a fader for?.
2) how often do you still get pressure from congregation members and/or family to return as an active witness?.

i quit---in 1971. job done.
i knew i had a couple of firearms around the house, and one in the car.
however, i didn't realize i had seven, yes, seven of them, when i proceeded to count them.
the reason for that is that i haven't gone to the shooting range in years.

the dubsters in the uk are being taken for such a ride.. on one side they have prime land and property to sell in north london worth many millions of uk pounds.. on the other they have bought a contaminated site used for years of illegal dumping.
one of the main contaminants is asbestos.
it will take volunteer labour months simply to remove the toxic material.
i would probably collapse laughing.
this is a legitimate question.
did any of us ever find real joy in being at the meetings?
did any of us ever finish a meeting and think "i feel so enriched"?
i liked the camaraderie when i was in my teens--but rarely took any notice of the content of the meetings--no point--heard it all before--over and over.
but--i got married at 20--then started to really think about it all--and quit aged 23.
dangit.......like i gotta cook for this hot chick tonight, ........i rented a suite at the mayaguez beach hotel, and she's totally into me.
